The WIC Digital Silk Road Development Forum opened

Camel bells ring across the ancient boundless dunes. Sails glide across the endless blue sea. Xian, an ancient capital of thirteen dynasties, marks the start of the Silk Road and a meeting point where East and West have exchanged ideas and cultures.

Over thousand years, countless merchants and scholars have journeyed westward along the ancient Silk Road, which has served as a ceaseless cultural “artery”, connecting nations and bridging seas. Here, on April 16, the WIC Digital Silk Road Development Forum brought together international organizations, governments, enterprises, scholars, and guests from nearly 50 countries and regions. They gathered to discuss digital connectivity and share new opportunities for digital development.

XR Studio Shines at the WIC

At the conference venue, the XR virtual studio, a key installation by Shaanxi TV, drew steady crowds of visitors. It was undoubtedly one of the most popular photo spots at the event and also became a favorite “go-to” location for media reporters to mark their presence.

But what made this studio so irresistible that it had become a top destination for media interviews and recordings?

The main reason was that the XR virtual studio had adopted the industry’s highest standard LED display system provided by EXCO Vision.

Unlike previous sessions, this WIC marked the first thematic meeting focused on the Digital Silk Road. Under the theme “Connectivity for Shared Prosperity”, discussions centered on three areas: “Digital Connectivity for Building the Silk Road”, “International Cooperation on Silk Road E-Commerce”, and “Digital Villages and Sustainable Development”. This represents not only a response to the call for civilizational exchange and mutual learning within the Digital Silk Road economy under the Belt and Road Initiative, but also a commitment to deepening ongoing exchanges and cooperation with Belt and Road partner countries and regions in areas such as digital infrastructure, digital technology, and digital markets.

As an outstanding demonstration of advanced technology at this conference, the XR studio will also contribute to building a strong community with a shared future in cyberspace. It will inject vibrant energy into the ancient Silk Road, bringing it new vitality and a renewed sense of life.
