The 31st Beijing International Radio, TV & Film Exhibition (BIRTV2024) was held from August 21 to August 24, 2024, at the China International Exhibition Center (Chaoyang Hall) in Beijing. Under the theme “Omnimedia, Ultra-HD, Strong AI,” the exhibition focused on the high-quality development of broadcasting, television, and online audiovisual media, with an emphasis on empowering new quality productive forces in the industry through advanced technologies. It served as a key platform for disseminating industry policies, showcasing development achievements and innovative formats, and facilitating international exchanges in the broadcasting and audiovisual sector.

Joint Appearance at BIRTV

At this year’s exhibition, EXCO Vision joined forces with its partners — 7D-Vision, GVM, Vizrt, Humsens, and Canon (listed in no particular order) — to make a collective appearance. As a leader in cinematic-grade virtual production and extended reality application solutions, EXCO Vision has developed a range of cinematic-grade LED displays and comprehensive solutions for XR virtual production, suitable for a wide variety of scenarios. These solutions have been successfully deployed in numerous large-scale TV gala broadcasts, film and TV drama productions, gaming and e-sports events, and media launch activities. To support partner projects and to deliver a more immersive visual experience to visitors at the exhibition, EXCO Vision provided its partners with a meticulously crafted Apollo series LED display system solution. Designed in accordance with the industry’s highest parameter specifications, this solution not only ensures clear and smooth visuals but also delivers exceptional color accuracy and detail reproduction, enabling the creation of highly immersive visual projects.

7D-Vision

As a leading technology service provider in the content creation field in China, 7D-Vision, together with EXCO Vision, unveiled a next-generation XR virtual production system at Booth 4002. The system incorporates features such as automatic lens calibration and auto color correction, enabling users to enjoy a more immersive and automated operational experience throughout the shooting process. With this system, film and television production teams can break free from the limitations of traditional shooting methods, achieving real-time previews and efficient compositing, significantly improving production efficiency and creative freedom.

GVM

Driven by the great pursuit of being a "Great Video Maker," GVM is an internationally leading brand specializing in providing professional studio lighting products and integrated solutions for intelligent studio scene applications to image professionals worldwide. At Booth 1A108A, GVM teamed up with EXCO Vision to showcase its integrated lighting solution for virtual production. New products — including the Flashlight Series portable lights, the PRO Series studio spotlights, the YU Series full-color panel lights, and the carbon fiber motorized slider — effectively simulate real-world lighting effects, enhance the realism of virtual scenes, and create an immersive production environment.

Vizrt

As a global market leader in real-time 3D graphics packaging, studio automation, sports tactical analysis, and media asset management for the media and entertainment industry, Vizrt offers products ranging from interactive virtual solutions to software tools for multi-platform online video broadcasting. At Booth 3002, Vizrt teamed up with EXCO Vision to showcase its XR studio solution. This solution integrates advanced XR production equipment, a real-time rendering engine, virtual scenes, and professional post-production tools, enabling users to create highly realistic virtual environments and achieve seamless compositing with real-life characters, resulting in immersive XR studio content.

Humsens

As a pioneering force in the research and development of virtual positioning technology in China, Hummingbird Power has leveraged years of project experience to establish a strong presence in virtual production, dedicated to serving both the film and television industry and cross-sector creative practices. At Booth 8A09, Hummingbird Power teamed up with EXCO Vision to showcase its flagship product, the HUM Virtual Spatial Positioning System, as a core technology in the virtual production field. The HUM Pro and HUM Ultra products deliver exceptional precision and flexibility in VP production and VFX production. Regardless of whether VR/AR/XR production is used or the type of camera support employed, HUM can capture and output high-precision tracking data in real time, offering creators unparalleled freedom and creative space.

Canon

Canon has long been committed to advancing imaging technology and its applications through continuous innovation and product development. At its meticulously designed Booth 8B03, Canon, together with EXCO Vision, presented a range of immersive video virtual production solutions, including the EOS C400, the EOS R5 Mark II, and the EOS R5 C. Visitors can experience the exceptional imaging performance of the EOS C400 in virtual production, as well as the outstanding high-image-quality capabilities of the EOS R5 C for diversified converged media solutions. They can also try out the newly released full-frame mirrorless camera, the EOS R5 Mark II at the Canon booth, and even enjoy an immersive, realistic, and breathtaking visual experience in the VR experience zone.
